Mat and backing are included in the price as well as postage.  The work is therefore is ready for framing.

Miniatures:

The miniatures are a specialty of mine – they are sold with their own miniature easels!  They do not need framing.  They also come with magnets on the back so that they can be displayed on a shelf or fridge.

Sugar Shack in Quebec woods.  Acrylic on canvas, 2.75 x 2.75 in. This reminds me how every spring my family and I would go to a sugar shack in the woods of Quebec and have ‘tire’ on snow made from freshly gathered maple sap.

Rue St. Paul aux vieux-Montreal.  Acrylic on canvass, 3.5 x 2.5 in.  There is something special about walking along St. Paul St. after a snowstorm.  I’ve tried to capture the quiet and the beauty of old Montreal in this miniature.

Saint-Benoit-du-Lac Abbey on Lake Memphremagog:  Acrylic on canvas, 2 x 4 in.  St. Benoit du lac is a Benedictine abbey that was founded early last century.  I’ve tried to capture the beauty and peaceful surroundings of the abbey in the fall.

Gowlland Point, South Pender Island, BC

This is the scene at the end of the road on South Pender Island.  Acrylic on canvas, 2 x 4 in.  What attracted me to this spot to paint were the tall firs overlooking the ocean, and on a clear day you have the added bonus of being able to see Mt. Baker.

Round Barn, Way’s Mills, Quebec

Acrylic on canvas. Round barns are unique. Only nine are left standing in the Eastern Townships in Quebec. Folklore has it that the round barn originated with the Shakers in New England who were concerned that there would be no dark corners in their barns where the devil could hide.
